TIME KILLS DEALS
The Job Market has become a “candidate-driven” marketplace. The pool of Top Talent is decreasing at the same time many babyboomers are starting to leave the job market. Often candidates have more than one opportunity they are considering. It is so important to review your current interviewing process. Many of the best candidates are currently employed which makes it difficult for them to take time off to interview several times. Candidates also step up their attire a notch for interviews, and they don’t want to draw attention or initiate suspicion with their current employer.
If you have a four step interview process, could you combine this into two interviews?
Could your application be completed on-line prior to the interviewing process?
Is it possible to have the first step in your process a telephone screening interview?
If testing is needed, can this be accomplished utilizing on line testing?
Once the process is completed, could you escalate the decision making process?
Can you identify a company to provide you with quicker background check reports?
It’s very important if you show everyone in the hiring process the “what’s in it for them” to reach a decision within a reasonable time frame. You don’t want your competitors to hire the top talent YOU need to hire because of a drawn out hiring process! Time truly does “kill deals!”
