Word of mouth advertising is the BEST WAY to attract top talent. We interview hundreds of candidates monthly, and always ask where they would prefer to work. Interestingly enough, we hear the same company names repeatedly. Not only can the candidate tell us WHO they want to work for…they tell us WHY! This is word of mouth advertising. Your current employee can be your best sources for top talent. If they enjoy working for you, they will tell others!

The easiest way to improve morale and improve the reputation of your firm is to ask for input from your management team and employees! When you ask for input and initiate changes it empowers the individuals who work for you. Most companies conduct annual performance reviews of their employees, but do you have an annual survey where the employees can provide valuable insight to you?

You can spend thousands of dollars on job boards, classified ads and other sources of candidates or you can take those monies and spend them on training and other retention programs for your current employees. There is no better candidate than one who has been referred to you by a current employee!

Word of mouth advertising is not something you can buy….but it’s definitely worth it’s weight in gold!
